MITgcm</h1></center> |

The MITgcm (MIT General Circulation Model) is a numerical model for studying |

the ocean and atmosphere. It is capable of simulating these fluids at a |
22 |
wide range of scales and can resolve many different processes. It has a |
23 |
non-hydrostatic capability (Marshall et al., JGR 1996a & b) and uses |
24 |
the finite volume method to accurately represent the bottom boundary position |
25 |
(Adcroft et al., MWR 1998). |
