The MITgcm code and documentation are under continuous development. The last official release was called "Release1_patch8" and the current development is stabilizing in anticipation of a "Release2_beta" announcement. Both the last stable release and the current CVS contents can be obtained at:

  • Download using CVS pserver:

A GForge-based MITgcm development server is available which includes:

• the MITgcm-support mailing list with a web-browsable archive,
  
  
• a web-based forum suitable for quick questions, and
  
  
• a HOWTO to help you get started with MITgcm development and customization.

A verification suite is run periodically on a range of different machines and the results can be seen at:
