25 <p>The MITgcm (MIT General Circulation Model) is a numerical model for
26 studying the ocean and atmosphere. It is capable of simulating these
27 fluids at a wide range of scales and can resolve many different
28 processes. It has a non-hydrostatic capability (Marshall et al., JGR 1997a
29 &amp; b) and uses the finite volume method to accurately represent the
30 bottom boundary position (Adcroft et al., MWR 1998).<br /><br /></p>
