  - this experiment is identical with the new verification experiment
    global_ocean_pressure
  - it simulates the global ocean circulation with a similar setup as the

  'JMD95P', and 'MDJWF' to the 'Getting Started' section.

8 This is the first in a series of tutorials describing
9 example MITgcm numerical experiments. The example experiments
10 include both straightforward examples of idealized geophysical
11 fluid simulations and more involved cases encompassing
12 large scale modeling and
13 automatic differentiation. Both hydrostatic and non-hydrostatic
14 experiments are presented, as well as experiments employing
15 Cartesian, spherical-polar and cube-sphere coordinate systems.
16 These ``case study'' documents include information describing
17 the experimental configuration and detailed information on how to
18 configure the MITgcm code and input files for each experiment.
