Unfortunately we (still) don't have a definitive PV diagnostic.
These two subdirectories contain code that is almost there, but isn't quite
fully general. Please feel free to use these (thanks to Tom, Richard, Daniel)
and if you are feeling really inspired feel free to improve them and add them in
a general form.
