- diags_display.m: set addToTex=1 but fileTex='' to go through write2tex
  but simply to add figure captions (when using diags_display directly).
- write2tex.m: add call to gcmfaces_caption (also when fileTex='') and
  save figures (atfter print to eps and activation of caption).
- gcmfaces_caption.m: output captionHandle; include 'Children' in
  visibility switch; rename temporary variables as gfCapTmp and gfCapTmppp;
  revise uipanel aspect and position.

- append file extension to plot (e.g. myPlots.fig1 becomes myPlots_fig1.eps) to avoid PC issues.
- add option for plot output format (frmt) that is eps by defaulf (but jpg on PCs).
- use fileparts to determine PATHSTR & fileTex, which should work on all platforms (pc,linux,mac).

- write2tex.m: use beamer class, include file creation (previously based on
  write2tex.header), with title page and table of content, include sections,
