 MPI fix. Filename changes (meta/data). salbin*y stuff.
 General tidy-up.

 Branch from checkpoint7. Released for application to
 global modeling and general modeling - process studies, regional
 model etc.. 
 Configured for verification/exp2 - 4 degree global, two process.
